HerStory as told by Ariel

Hey👋🏾 Hope all is well in your world. May this month be unfolding in a positive manner for you and yours. In February we continue the focus of melanin excellence on this site. Let the art shine bright amongst the greatness we present.

I have the pleasure of presenting an amazing artist, teacher, and friend of that goes by Ariel or creatively as LuvElements. She works on various sized canvases all the way up to wall murals. Years of growth and change artistically and personally is amazing to be a witness of. I have a few pieces of hers in my home and we actually work together on commissioned murals. She just gets better with time, honestly. It’s a real proud moment to be able to speak up for someone thats so talented but humble. She deserves all the flowers 💐. Please read below to find out more about an interesting being and how we can support. ⬇️

QA 1. How long have you shared your art with the world and how did you start?

Oooo a little bit of a complex answer, so I have been into to art since I was about 4 years old. My mom had some arts and crafts tubaware that I loved to get into when ever I could. No matter what the materials were I loved to use colors. It quickly became my happy place....and never wanted to leave lol. However, I wasn't really into showing my work even though my loved ones would tell me how good it was. I really didn't start sharing my work until I was in college for some art courses. I had to haul many of my pieces back in fourth across campus and on different occasions I would be stopped and be complimented or asked where I was displaying it so they can find me. I still didn't want to be found so I said weird responses like "my closet" lol After some strong and yelling encouragement from my close friends and family lol, I started posting my work online.

QA 2. What or who is your biggest inspiration?

I don't necessarily have a biggest inspiration because its a combination of things but two of the strongest ones are my family and creativity . You and everyone one on this planet has to ability to create extraordinary things. Art is not limited to pencils, paints, and traditional drawing materials. There's fabrics, music notes, footsteps, flavors, and even the inner workings of a computer's motherboard. Creativity is limitedless. My family (including my friends, they're my family too lol) inspire me because of how amazing they are themselves. It's not just how they believe in me. Seeing them bulid from the ground up and literally turning their dreams in reality. No matter if the goal is physical, spiritual, and mental, they are going for it matter how long it takes. When things go left and breakdown it makes them rise up to be a even more truier version of themselves and my goodness do they shine so brightly.

Q3. What do you want to leave behind?

A pathway that leads to other pathways yet to be discovered. A name sake that opens doors for others that allows them to go further than I do. Believe, love, and accept yourself and the bomb a** art you create. Every single part of the journey is worth it.

Q4. What is it that the general public can do to support you?

Shareeeeeeeeee me works lol or can pass my name along to individuals/companies looking for customized artwork. You can also support by coming through to chill, paint, and drink unlimited mimosas at our dope sip and paint lounge called "TheVibeExperience" (IG: TheVibeExperience) in Houston, Tx. My personal account can be found on Facebook (Meta) @ArielLuvelements and Instagram platform @Luvelements. I will be making prints soon and releasing projects that I'm super excited to share with y'all. If feeling super fancy you can donate any funds if you choose to $Luvelements or even art materials you may want to bless my soul with lol It's all highly appreciated 🧡💜🧡

Q5. What, if any, advice would you give to someone that is looking to grow within your field?

Experiment!! Try different art materials and styles. The more you explore the closer you become to knowing what your own art style is. Put your work out there!! It doesn't matter if 2 people see it or 2,000. Somebody is watching and each piece you bring to life can bring light into some else's.

Lastly, trust the process, embrace the journey. Its genuinely not a race and may not look the way you thought in your mind but that doesn't mean your not on the right track. Keep going, you got this!!

Thank you for taking the time to read up a bit on one of my favorite people. Above is the progress we are making on the joint mural in a store front, where my clothing will be housed. She did majority of the detailing I was a monumental background contributor. Hopeful to introduce you to LuvSon soon, but until then; please observe and utilize the services and art presented above. May your month continue with the love that’s supposedly in the air. ❤️
