HIStory as told by Aaron

Hey 👋🏾. Hope all is well in your world. We are literally a couple of days away from this month's end. Outside of February being the shortest with all of the best celebrations, I find that time itself is just moving fast. With the commercial celebration of love fleeting, the performances by companies for black history month ending, and Mardi Gras being a memory; I can only hope that you felt a little of something this February. I have had the pleasure of introducing you to, or reminding you of, a few special melanin individuals that are creatives and business owners. Today I get to shine a light on a pretty talented and multifaceted guy named Aaron, known creatively as Phelps Vigier. A super dope digital artist, veteran, and musician that I've had the pleasure of working with on a few projects. I would love for you guys to check out all of his art and the answers to this particular interview below ⬇️

    1.    How long have you shared your art with the world and how did you start?

It depends on which art form we’re talking about. Musically I’ve been displaying my work since 2010… but digital and visual art, I didn’t even start until 2018.

    2.    What or who is your biggest inspiration?

Oh man… Curren$y was always the man with the plan. His business tactics should be studied in someone’s college for real. Other than him there’s Takashi Murakami and Hideo Kojima…  gods amongst visual creatives.

    3.    What do you want to leave behind?

Memorable media that will inspire others… if I can inspire others to accomplish great feats, despite whatever hardship they are faced with, that’d be good with me.

    4.    What is it that the general public can do to support you?

You could definitely follow me on IG: PhelpsVigier or buy some merch from phelpsvigier.myshopify.com

    5.    What, if any, advice would you give to someone that is looking to grow within your field?

Create in a way that is true to you. Don’t try to conform to what anyone else’s expectations of you as an artist . There’s also going to be that one person that doesn’t like your work.

I would like to thank Aaron for taking the time to give a little insight to one of his ventures. Take advantage of the direct links above to support in any way feasible. I mentioned above that we had worked on some creative projects together and at this time one is available for purchase at the following direct link :

Enjoy the remaining two days this month, but take the lessons far beyond that. Melanin greatness will be continuously highlighted here. Until the next "story ", take care.
