The Power of Seven

Updated: Jan 24, 2023

Hey. Hope all is well in your world. Let us continue to truck in the unknown waters that are 2023. May this month and those after bring nothing you cannot overcome and plenty of wins. I will be doing a little step back in this particular post because I am absent of a final quarter recap for the site. So much for not dwelling on what happened before. Hear me out though. The number seven is significant in so many aspects of life whether its religion, magic, or simply taking a chance at a slot machine. The number seven in alchemical thought may not be the pinnacle, but it is certainly the goal. It represents self-awareness and inner-wisdom that will deliver a richer quality of life. In the Bible’s version of the creation story, the seventh day was when God rested and thus is a symbol of “completion or divine perfection”. In other words spiritual enlightenment. When the seven appears in your life, it is a sign that a goal or transformation is complete and, when positive, is the best you could have wished for. Do not be afraid to give up things in your life that do not serve you, because whilst ever you keep negative things in your life, you cannot make way for the positive things. I have had some really amazing things unfold over these past seven weeks after having my seventh birthday show, seven years in a row and I would love to share. The powerChannel ewebsite of seven has been very prevalent in my life when speaking positively…

On a lovely Friday, December 3, I had the immense pleasure to showcasesttrt to try try my art and fashion in an art yt annual event to celebrate my birthday. This particular one was very special to me for a number of reasons. It was my last annual birthday show until 2025, it was my first art showcase, and I was able to pull it all together after a significant move and technical failure. I’ll never be ashamed of taking a chance because what I got out of the move and storefront is unexplainable.  We keep it going despite any issues around here. Lol. Well this being the last one for a while made the expectations and stakes very high so it was all, no option for nothing. I was able to accomplish with the help of some amazing people. Take a look around at some of the decor and art that was painted by both myself and my partner Ariel “LuvElements” D.

I had the pleasure of working with some amazingly talented individuals. A couple I can call old friends and the rest are like the best connections I could have ever made. Im grateful for them all.

Jermo thee MC

The guy behind the mic was Jeremy S., better known as Jermo. My close friend of well over a decade. The perfect person to guide the night along and add a little excitement and entertainment to the environment. He is a whole vibe. Probably doesn’t want me to mention how talented of a craftsman and designer he is, but I will anyway. Check out his handles, and know that the personality will shine through.

Leon D. The DJ

In the midst of a serious crisis I was able to count on his amazing spinning skills. This is the second year in a row i have worked with him. The span of music and the perfect transitions from era to era and song to song makes utilizing his services a no brainer. He is amazing at what he does. Plain and simple.

Lena the Photographer

I will say this this wonderful woman pulled out the camera as a favor to me and I couldn’t have been more excited about it. Came out of retirement to catch all the angles and the result was pure magic.

I have to shine a light on the models. Most traveled from Louisiana to be a part of the show in Houston, and for that i am grateful, because what is a show without a cast? The best part about it is that they needed minimal instruction due to their professionalism, and by the  end of it all were just so uplifting and fun. A few of them have thriving businesses in addition to a modeling career and I am all about highlighting a brand. Please check below to visit social media handles and check out their work and products.

The lovely vendors were :

Zamarah Muse by Ashley Couture is amazing, nothing less. She comes with a ton of handcrafted, natural skincare and the knowledge to direct you to which products would work best for your skin. Soaps, exfoliants, head wraps, makeup components, and more. Beauty industry experience spanning well over a decade makes her a pleasure and an inspiration. I would suggest checking out her website because there is so much more there than skincare at this current moment. The expansion is beautiful to see, so check her out.

Exquisite Essentials by Malika F is such a pleasure, really. The brand itself is an umbrella for both products and services by her. The body scrubs, manifesting bath teas, glosses, stylish sunglasses, and everything else is such a vibe. Relaxation and meditation go hand and hand with most of the products offered. Outside of the previously mentioned she is an amazingly talented nail technician. Take a moment and check out what she has been doing artistically at the handle below. You can purchase some of her scrubs on this website in the shop tab.

LuvElements by Ariel D. is responsible for most of the visual art seen in the venue. She is the other half of our collaborative brand LuvSon and outside of a spectacular friend of over a decade, she is my art mentor. We have previously done a mural together and an art show before this particular showcase. As of right now we are painting a fleet of Mardi Gras floats. It’s such a blessing to have her and chase this dream. Her artwork is available at the link below. Check it out.

This past seven weeks have been by far some Ill never forget and a sure turning point in my career. I put on a memorable show while checking off a few bucket list items. I was able to create and strengthen numerous connections with some amazingly talented individuals. It’s not much more I could desire out of that special celebratory night for me. May all the eyes gracing this post be well and at peace ☮️
