HerStory according to Toi

Hey 👋🏾. Hope all is well in your world. Things are pretty decent on this end, and the melanin madness continues here on the site. I have the pleasure of presenting a little insight into the business and why of an inspirational woman, who goes by the name of Toi. She has overcame adversity in a few forms to be the ultra savvy individual she presents today. I appreciate when life goes full circle and this connection is the ultimate example of that. We actually went to high school together over a decade ago at this point. Time and space have came between us, but a distant support has always been shared. I have nothing but love and well wishes for her until the end of time. I'm super grateful Toi took the time to answer a few questions and drop her online handles so that access to her services and products is fairly simple. Check out the responses below.

How long have you shared your art with the world and how did you start?

I started as a freelance photographer and videographer almost 10 years ago and have been in marketing and social media management for 6 years.

What or who is your biggest inspiration?

My son is my reason for everything! No matter what I face in life I always find inspiration in his glowing eyes and energetic personality.

What do you want to leave behind?

As a black female entrepreneur in marketing, I want to help thousands of small, black-owned businesses learn how to apply effective marketing techniques to grow scale their businesses. I also want to encourage and help other single mothers to start and grow successful businesses.

What, if any, advice would you give to someone that is looking to grow within your field?

I would tell anyone looking to grow in business or marketing to stop waiting for the perfect time and just start. Many of us miss opportunities because we wait around for them to happen instead of going after them and creating them. Have faith in yourself and your abilities and trust The Most High with everything else. 💜
