HerStory as told by KP

Hey👋🏾. Hope all is well in your world. February is almost over. I feel like the days are running track at this point. Hope you are prospering this month of love, melanin, and Fat Tuesday. If you are in Louisiana, the Mardi Gras culture is alive and well. The next few days should be filled will celebrations, limited baked goods, and parades. I tend to mention that culture because that just so happens to be where I am (in case you didn't know).

Today I have the pleasure of spotlighting a super versatile, committed, and educated individual who goes by Kalyn or KP. I'm favored enough to have experienced her services personally and to call her a friend; would surely recommend. I do know that she no longer massages personally, but is an instructor. I would have to say that she is a great person to lead and guide in that field because the massages and other services I received were always top tier. I know the pupils are out here expanding on excellence. KP took the time to answer a few questions about her journey and why in regards to her career. Check out the responses below ⬇️:

1.    How long have you shared your art with the world and how did you start?

  8 years!

    2.    What or who is your biggest inspiration?

My inspiration is PURPOSE. God blessed me with the gift of healing and I aspire to fulfill the purpose of my gift. I no longer massage but I am now Co Owner/Director/Instructor at one of the Top massage therapy schools in Houston!

    3.    What do you want to leave behind?

I want to leave behind generational wealth for my seeds and their seeds and so forth.

    4.    What is it that the general public can do to support you?

I am no longer providing massage but the general public can support me by holistically caring for themselves! Get a massage regularly, there are tons of benefits!

    5.    What, if any, advice would you give to someone that is looking to grow within your field?

In my field the more you do it the better you get! Stay dedicated, continue learning through taking additional courses and never be afraid to say, You’re the best at what you do! There are a million ways to use your Certification, don’t put yourself in a box!

I surely appreciate KP taking some time out of her schedule to answer a few questions about her career and purpose. We are going to continue highlighting melanin greatness within the community around us. In this particular post self care is mentioned, I hope you do take a moment to self for self. It's so needed amongst the hustle and motion of the day. Until the next "story". 💚
